The club has introduced some new stuff to encourage participation:
- An Annual Mileage Award will be presented at the 2024 Christmas Party to the club member that drives her/his Healey the most during the year. The Events Coordinator will record your odometer mileage at the first event you attend for the year.
2024 GGAHC EVENTS
Every Tuesday, 2024, GGAHC Cars & Coffee
What: John Vranicar and Cully Anderson have started a Cars and Coffee gathering outside the Paris Baguette Bakery Cafe, 35 Crescent Dr Suite A, Pleasant Hill, CA 94523. These happen every Tuesday morning, weather permitting. Talk includes Healeys, answering passerby questions, trips, local events, getting to know each other, vehicle maintenance, tech sessions, and planning for local drives. An impromptu local drive may be included.

Saturday, May 4, GGAHC Cars & Coffee
What: Chris Silcox has started a Cars and Coffee gathering at Barrel and Bean Coffee, 17500 Depot Street, #122, Morgan Hill, CA 95037. These will happen every first Saturday of the month, weather permitting. Talk includes Healeys, local events, getting to know each other, and planning for local drives.

What: Wanna just Get Away?
Wanna enjoy scenery, animals and roads you may never have seen before?
Wanna just be ALONE (with a bunch of Healeys)?
Where is the Middle of Nowhere? Mines Road.
If you live in the Bay Area you’d be hard pressed to find anywhere as remotely beautiful as the San Antonio Valley along Mines Road. One beautiful, long twisty back road with a surprise at the top. This will be about a 120-mile drive of about 4 hours driving time, plus an hour and a half at the top of Mt. Hamilton.
We may see Tule elk, deer, wild boar, bobcat, coyote, woodpeckers, even roadrunners (the two-footed, two-winged variety – honestly!). We’re guaranteed to see miles and miles of wildflowers, ancient oaks, streams flowing past digger pines and chaparral. Absolutely beautiful. But I’ve never seen mines on Mines Road. Weird. Anyway…
More Info: The drive will start at 10 AM at the intersection of Highway 580 and Vasco Road in the McDonald’s and Arco/AM/PM parking lot (805 N Vasco Rd, Livermore, CA 94550).

What: Twin Cities Cruisers cars and coffee meets every last Sunday of the month from 8am to 11AM at Life’s Grind in the Raleys shopping center at 10430 Twin Cities Road, Galt CA 95632. Family friendly event. No burn outs, revving or loud music!

Monday, May 6, 2024, Fiat America Track Day, Thunderhill Raceway Park, Willows
What: For those who haven’t heard, GGAHC President Marc Lewis has a Fiat 124 track car, and is also a member of Fiat America – Really! The Fiat America club has invited GGAHC members to participate in their annual Track Day at Thunderhill outside Willows:
Monday Track Days were an inspiration of Kevin Enderby. He was correct in that people can drive or tow up to Willows, CA on a leisurely Sunday instead of an after-work thrash on a weeknight. Plus attendees can plan to arrive and check into their chosen Motels in time to join us for the traditional Night-Before Dinner at Casa Loma Restaurant. From there it is a short crawl to your Motel room, and you are able to pop out of bed and be at the track by 7:30 Monday morning.
Ah, The Track Day…. This is the kind of event that takes a group of enthusiasts to pull off because the logistics and expense are too high for most mortals. We have enthusiasts in our club and you may also know some through family, work or friendships. We allow all marques to participate as long as they are not SUV’s or trucks and have 4 enclosed wheels. So, in order for the club to break even on this event, we need other participants from outside the club. This is a chance for you to make a friend, co-worker or relative really appreciate that you allowed them to be part of something they always wanted to do.
And, of course, you will want to be there and have your own great time.
Open cars need a roll bar installed (classic FIATs and Austin-Healeys) or modern car rollover protection (New Miatas, Boxters, 2017 and later 124 Spiders).

Sunday, May 19, 2024, All British Motor Vehicle Show and Swap Meet – Dixon
What: This amazing show, held on the site of the Dixon fairgrounds, is a fantastic place to see and be seen with all forms of British cars and motorbikes!!
Registration is Open!
Participation is by pre-registration only. There is no day-of registration.
All registered entries will receive a dash plaque, goody bag and a ballot for voting in the Participants’ Choice Awards. This is a show for the pleasure and company of others who share your interest in vintage British machinery.

Saturday, September 28, 2024, Ironstone Concours d’Elegance
What: The Ironstone Concours d’Elegance is an antique and classic car show held each September at Ironstone Vineyards near Murphys, California. Some 300+ antique and classic cars participate. The event also features vintage trailers, housecars (motorhomes), antique trucks and motorcycles, race cars and wooden boats. Honored guests from the old-car hobby and the auto industry regularly participate.
The Ironstone Concours d’Elegance weekend begins with a Friday evening Cars & Stars wine tasting, dinner and auction. The concours itself takes place on Saturday, climaxed by an awards ceremony. Class winners drive onto the Ironstone Amphitheatre stage to receive their trophies. Among regular participants are Reno’s National Auto Museum, the California Automotive Museum in Sacramento, the Blackhawk Museum in Dublin and San Francisco’s Academy of Art University auto collection.
Proceeds from the Ironstone Concours d’Elegance benefit Central and Northern California youth in agriculture, notably Future Farmers of America (FFA) and 4-H. In addition, the non-profit Ironstone Foundation has helped fund the California State FFA headquarters in Galt California; scholarships in partnership with the California State Fair; and the Calaveras County Fair scholarship program.
